and now a moment of silence for the beanstalk...

a little background...the girls in my office and i have been watching over this cute little thorny plant growing near the sidewalk of our building. we affectionately called it the beanstalk and dreamed of the day it would grow tall enough that we would climb it and find our fortunes.

the weed whacker whacked it down this morning...without thought to anyone's feelings, the beanstalk was savagely sliced down in it's prime.

julie, kari and i are heartbroken. our dreams of climbing it and finding the goose that laid the golden egg have been crushed. as i walked into the office this morning i noted that it was as tall as i was. now, it is only a memory. never more to grow by the sidewalk.
we will miss you, dear beanstalk. you will grow forever in our hearts.

That is so sad! I guess you will have to find a new dream now. :-(
