it was good to be home tonight...

have i mentioned lately how much i love my church and my pastors? i've missed the last few weeks, but God told me i needed to be there tonight.

you weren't kidding, were you, God?!?!

"to love at all is to be vulnerable. love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. if you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. but in that casket--safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. it will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable." --c.s. lewis

why do we invest in something so unpredictable? love is risky. but the need for love is built into us. it is God's plan for us that we love. at the core is safety. can i trust you, is my heart safe with you?

healing starts under God's protection.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

heal my heart and make it clean
open up my eyes to the things unseen
show me how to love like You
have loved me

break my heart for what breaks Yours
everything i am for your kingdom's cause
as i go from nothing
to eternity

thank you all for keeping me in your prayers...i definitely still need them.

I love that quote, and that song. Let me know if there are any specifics I need to be praying for. I already have one in mind I've been working on.

That song is just so excellent, I listened to it ALL the way from DC to TX with lil Gooner inside! It is an amazing reminder of who He is.
