sunburned and a little sad...

well, as they say, all good things must come to an end...and the end of our beach vacation will be here tomorrow.  we will be headed back to missouri tomorrow morning at 10am.  i'm sad to have it finished, but it will be nice to be home.

i didn't take many pics today because i spent most of it fighting waves and sand and looking for shells!  it was sooooooo much fun!!!!  high tide was at 10:41 this morning and we went down to see what we could find.  and let me tell you...we found hundreds of gorgeous shells...some bigger than my hand!!  there were thousands being washed up on the beach and mom and i waded in the COLD water to find the treasure.   here are a few pics from the day...

notice the bags...dad carried two more back to the house!  and we have several bags from the beginning of the week too!!!  holy moley!!!

i didn't realize, however that i'd been out all morning and didn't put on sunscreen...whoops!  i'm a lot toasty tonight!!!!  oh well...here's to hoping it turns tan in the morning!  the good thing is that i usually only burn once a summer...maybe i've gotten it out of the way early this year! :)

this topped off our day.  on the way back from dinner, i spotted a shaved ice/ice cream stand that was open!!!  it was soooooooooooooo good!!!  i got a peach one.  delish!!!

can't wait for the stand to open in st. louis!!!!!!!!!!

well, i need to get off here and pack up my bag so i can be ready to leave in the morning!  see you all back in st. louis soon!!!!!!!!!
